Position Summary

Sun Holdings is seeking a Director, Off-Premise to lead the strategy, execution, and vendor relationships that drive the company's off-premise business, including third-party delivery (3PD) marketing and catering. This role owns the marketing and commercial side of the 3PD business — campaign strategy, ROI reporting, and vendor negotiations — while also serving as the senior subject matter expert on 3PD platform operations, from store onboarding to pricing and integration issues. This role also leads the catering function, managing a dedicated catering team and driving initiatives to grow catering sales across the portfolio. The ideal candidate brings a strategic, results-driven approach to vendor partnerships along with the operational fluency to manage a complex, multi-brand off-premise ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

3PD Marketing Strategy & Vendor Relationships

• Own the strategy, creation, execution, and ROI reporting for delivery marketing campaigns across the portfolio.
• Lead vendor negotiations on cost-saving opportunities, including co-funding support, reduced rates, and reduced markups.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new initiatives and opportunities to expand and strengthen 3PD partnerships.
• Serve as the primary relationship owner for major third-party delivery vendors, aligning marketing investment with business priorities.
• Set direction for how delivery marketing performance is measured and reported to senior leadership.
• Consolidate reporting across brands and vendors into unified, standardized reports for senior leadership.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure delivery promotions are executed accurately, supported operationally, and achieve targeted financial results.

3PD Platform & Operational Oversight

• Oversee new store onboarding and change-of-ownership processes across delivery platforms.
• Direct resolution of banking concerns, including fraud and accounting issues tied to delivery platforms.
• Lead evaluation of new delivery vendors and partnership opportunities.
• Oversee reconciliation portals and related delivery systems.
• Partner with IT leadership on delivery integrations and POS issues as they arise.
• Validate and approve pricing and commission structures across delivery partners.

Catering Leadership & Growth

• Manage and develop a dedicated catering team, setting priorities and performance expectations.
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance catering sales across the portfolio.
• Identify new catering channels, partnerships, and promotional opportunities to expand reach.
• Establish reporting and performance tracking for catering sales alongside 3PD reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required.
• 5-7+ years of experience in marketing, with significant experience in restaurant delivery/off-premise, digital, or vendor-facing roles; multi-brand or franchise experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record leading vendor negotiations and managing high-value commercial relationships.
• Deep familiarity with third-party delivery platforms (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub) and related reconciliation/reporting tools.
• Strong command of campaign strategy, budgeting, and ROI reporting at scale.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders across IT, Operations, and Finance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and external vendor partners.
• Comfortable operating at both a strategic level and a hands-on operational level when needed.
• Catering management experience strongly preferred.
