Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

Location: Gainesville, FL

Start Date: 07-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, includes weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and transfers
• Provide family and patient education on functional training and home exercises
• Implement gait training, therapeutic exercises, and balance interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress accurately in Meditech (Expanse) system

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Florida or compact privilege eligible
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of experience, including skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced inpatient rehab setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
• Proficiency in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional mobility
• Excellent communication and teaching abilities for patient and family education
• Comfortable with electronic medical records, especially Meditech (Expanse)
• Flexibility to work weekends as part of rotating schedule
