Job Title: Real Estate Financial Planning Analyst

Our real estate portfolio is comprised of a diverse set of assets including, but not limited to: commercial, industrial, office, healthcare, multi-family and self-storage in various stages of development, value add and stabilized life cycles. The properties are owned directly or through joint venture partnerships with qualified operating partners and are geographically dispersed nationally in primary and secondary markets.

Position Summary

This is a full-time position within the Finance & Accounting team that will provide key financial planning and analysis support to the broader real estate team; working closely with market leads and asset and accounting managers. The position involves strategic planning, financial analysis, data interpretation and presentation for key internal members across multiple departments to assist in maximizing asset value and return on investment. The role will be a mix of analytical and accounting tasks.

Ensures the integrity of financial information and data by recording, verifying, consolidating and maintaining real estate real estate portfolio analytics with emphasis on multi-family and self-storage sectors.

Job Responsibilities

· Assist with reviews of annual budgets, financial reporting and variance analysis to provide insights into property performance and identifying areas for improvement

· Work directly with our property management teams and JV partners during the budgeting process to develop budgets and understand assumptions used

· Assist with reviews and completion of forecasting/cashflow requests, capital calls, expense/overhead analysis and conduct periodic reviews of actual vs. budgeted financial results

· Develop, maintain and improve sector dashboards for asset performance and trend details.

· Calculate returns including IRR, cash-on-cash, and other investor metrics

· Assist in the consolidation of property financial results across the firm, including the potential use of Power BI dashboards

· Review prepared distribution calculations by 3rd party onsite management teams

· Assist in quarterly fair market value reporting for investors

· Assist in other various reporting deliverables for investors and OV leadership as requested

· Organize data for accuracy, ease of access and interpretation to support strategic initiatives

· Assist with ad-hoc tasks assigned by Accounting Manager(s) and asset management team

Qualifications

· Strong real estate financial reporting, modeling, finance/analytical skills

· Experience or previous knowledge in data visualization / managerial dashboards a plus

· Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Power BI a plus

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects.

· Proficient comprehension of software platforms preferred: Yardi and MRI

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting or equivalent from an accredited college.

· Real estate focused credentials – e.g., CCIM, RPA, CPM, CMA, etc. a plus.

Work Experience

· 2-5 years experience with proven success within such field/roles.

· Emphasis on multi-family and/or self-storage sectors a plus.

Base Salary Range

· $75,000 - $90,000 annually plus bonus potential
