**About the role**
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist with strong full-cycle accounts payable experience, excellent reconciliation skills, hands-on experience using Bill.com, and demonstrated accounting experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), e-commerce, or direct-to-consumer (DTC) businesses. Experience supporting online retail, marketplace businesses, or consumer product brands is important for this role. We are looking for someone who can go beyond routine invoice processing to investigate discrepancies, reconcile accounts, identify questionable transactions, and maintain accurate financial records.
**Key responsibilities**
* Manage the full AP cycle, from invoice receipt and verification through payment processing and reconciliation
* Process invoices using Bill.com for invoice processing, approval workflows, and vendor payments
* Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding balances
* Identify duplicate invoices, questionable transactions, and inconsistencies in supporting documentation
* Support month-end close and AP reconciliations
* Maintain accurate financial records and strong financial controls
**About you**
* Proven experience in accounts payable, ideally at a senior or full-cycle AP level
* Hands-on experience using Bill.com for invoice processing, approval workflows, or vendor payments
* Demonstrated accounting experience in CPG, e-commerce, or direct-to-consumer (DTC) businesses, involving actual accounting responsibilities
* Strong understanding of invoice verification, vendor management, payment processing, and AP aging
* Working knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate financial recordkeeping
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and confident managing accounts payable operations
