**Job Title:** Senior Accountant / Staff Accountant

**Job Type:** Full-Time

**Work Setup:** Remote

### About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant with strong QuickBooks Online (QBO) skills, knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and experience in month-end close and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has experience managing accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and investigating discrepancies. Experience in e-commerce, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or inventory-based businesses is preferred.

### Key Responsibilities

* Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
* Perform month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
* Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
* Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online and ensure proper transaction classification.
* Investigate discrepancies, correct errors, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
* Handle inventory accounting, COGS, and 3PL reconciliations, where applicable.
* Reconcile Amazon, Shopify, and other marketplace transactions, including sales, refunds, fees, settlements, and deposits.
* Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and improve accounting processes.
* For senior-level candidates, review accounting work, correct errors, and ensure the accuracy of financial reports.

### Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
* Senior Accountant: Preferably 5–7+ years of relevant experience.
* Strong hands-on proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
* Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting.
* Experience with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, AP, and AR.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.
* Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

### Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with U.S.-based clients or companies.
* Background in e-commerce, CPG, wholesale, or inventory-based businesses.
* Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, inventory costing, COGS, or 3PL reconciliations.
* Familiarity with NetSuite, Cin7, Bill.com, Ramp, or Expensify.
* Senior-level experience reviewing accounting work or supervising month-end close.
* CPA certification is an advantage but not required.
